Alex Guerra, John Calvet, Alberto Menacho and Michael Kaufman took on the challenge of a 100 mile charity bike ride to support the Therapeutic SCUBA Institute(TSI) and its Adaptive Scuba Kids Camp. The TSI team was the winner for raising more money than any other philanthropic organization on the ride.
A big shout out and THANK YOU to many of the Freakin Fitness members who gave generous donations. 100% of the money raised will be used to provide scholarships and support for the Adaptive Scuba Kids Camp – an annual summer camp for children with disabilities. After receiving scuba training, each child will spend one week in the Florida Keys, learning about ocean conservation, participate in coral restoration dive trips, as well as other educational experiences including lion-fish dissections, fish identification, and turtle rehabilitation seminars.
Freakin Fitness is very proud of our “Master Freaks” whom did absolutely no specific training to get ready for the ride, relied on their functional fitness training here at the Box and for doing the “GOOD WORK. ” We think you guys are just GREAT!
