After finishing my career in competitive team sports, I struggled to find an outlet to pour my passion and drive into. When I starting out at Freakin CrossFit as an athlete, I found that outlet. I knew I wanted to show other people not just how much it can help them physically, but how much it can effect their entire life in a positive way. As a Coach, it’s my goal to help our members find the same kind of joy I’ve gotten out of CrossFit and to help them strive for relentless pursuit, no matter what their goals may be.

I am someone who has always been active, but has found the best balance of exercise and community at Freakin’ CrossFit. I am a normal guy who has understood lifestyle trumps a fad and that being fit feels equally as good as eating ice cream.  So, there has to be a balance.  Knowing that CrossFit can be for anyone, that anyone can succeed as long as they put in the work necessary, and that the said work is individual to everyone, is in itself the biggest challenge and as a result provides the biggest sense of accomplishment.  If it were easy though, I wouldn’t be your coach. I look forward to growing together in our General Physical Preparedness.

MARYLN KAUFMAN, RN

MANAGING DIRECTOR OF OFFICE AND FINANCE / KID’S SUMMER CAMP DIRECTOR

  • 2016 Regional Athlete 60+ Division

  • 2017 Regional Athlete 60+ Division

I started CrossFit in 2009 in my back yard. I was in my mid 50’s training with 2 of my friends, who were also in their 50’s. My youngest son was our coach. My physical body and mental attitude toward life rapidly changed for the better. Out of sheer love of this thing called CrossFit, I signed up for the CrossFit LVL 1 course. As life would have it, my 3 son’s started Freakin CrossFit in a pavilion in that same backyard and I was their “fill-in” coach. The joy of the changes that were occurring in all our member’s lives was infectious. The confidence and strength I was feeling in my own life was undeniable. This was a special environment I wanted to live in for the rest of my life; an environment of positivity and change. An environment that could keep me healthy and independent.  An environment where I could be a part of helping to make other people’s lives better every single day. It just doesn’t get better than that

KYLE EDRALIN

  • Army Veteran

I was a firm believer in CrossFit & its methodology when I started in 2011 and have seen first hand what it can do for many others and myself, no matter the age or when they start.  This program benefits everyone, from children to mature adults, but the main goal is simple for all, Overall Health.  It makes me feel great that I am a part of their journey and can put a smile on their faces while enhancing their physical fitness.

RAY ITURRIOZ

CROSSFIT KIDS COACH

  • CrossFit Level 1 Trainer (CF-L1)

  • CrossFit Scaling Course

  • CrossFit Kids Trainer

I enjoy any kind of competition, from competitive sports to obstacle course races. I was introduced to CrossFit 5 years ago, and just like everyone else, I was immediately hooked to it and started seeing results quickly. It has been one of the best decisions I’ve made, and I haven’t looked back since. My focus as a CrossFit Kids Trainer is to teach our youth the techniques and fundamentals of CrossFit. It’s an educational experience that can be taught at any age. It builds self-confidence and transforms their thoughts about physical exercise. Most importantly, it’s a way for our youth to have fun doing it!
